The Grape and Grain is a traditional pub aimed at bringing great ales back into the forefront of pub-goers’ taste buds. Offering the best selection of real ales and real ciders in Crystal Palace with 16 real ales and real ciders on tap permanently and two others on gravity. Providing an unrivalled drink selection from imported draught to bottled lagers, Guinness, strong ales and hearty red wine, all available to drink in our very own sun trap.

– Ale List –

Kelham Island: Hippy Chick.8%
Imperial Indian Pale Ale with a pungent aroma of lemon zest, blackberry, grapefruit and tropical fruits, packed with American hops.
Enville: Saaz 4.2%
Brewed using the single variety Saaz hop this is a light and fruity beer with a dryness which confirms it as a classic Czechoslovakian-style beer.
Kinver: Half Centurian 5%
Brewed to celebrate the 50th birthdays of both founders. A 5.0% pale premium bitter with hop and citrus flavours.
Branscombe Vale: Summa That 5%
Clear gold ale with hoppy and lemony citrus nose. Fruity with a bitter finish.
Twisted Oak: Old Barn 4.5%
A traditional ruby coloured ale made with 4 different malts. English Fuggles and Bramling Cross hops have been generously added to provide a distinctive fruit and spice flavour.
Green Jack: Waxwing 4.4%
Waxwing is a pale and hoppy ale named after the small migratory bird that frequents our area in harsh winters.
Elland: Edenism 4.6%
Pale, golden well hopped premium beer with a long fruity finish achieved with Chinook and American cascade hops.
Box Steam: Half Sovereign 3.4%
A copper coloured bitter, surprisingly full flavoured for its strength, hoppy aroma and a soft malt finish.
Great Newsome: Prickly Back Otchan 4.2%
A hoppy amber bitter, for those who enjoy a more robust ale.
Loddon: Whirlwind 4.4%
Brewed exclusively with American Cascade and Willamette hops. The flavour is unmistakable. Pronounced grapefruit, red berries and pepper combine with a delicate malt finish.

Rother Valley: Ruby Wheat 4.4%
A well balanced wheat beer brewed with First Gold and Cascade hops, which give this a unique chocolate-orange taste.
Oakham: Racketeer 5.0%
Full on citrusy golden beer with powerful New Zealand hops dominating throughout.
Moorhouses: Old Boss 4.3%
Brewers Gold hops, Maris Otter and Crystal malts deliver a delightfully balanced premium bitter, straw in colour with a hint of citrus and spice
Teignworthy: Martha’s Mild 5.3%
This is a sweet, dark, ruby red mild, with a biscuit background.
Rudgate: Lemon Hopsickle 3.6%
Fresh, Pale and Zesty with Lemon on the Nose.
Spitting Feathers: Empire IPA 5.2%
light amber pour, slight grassy aroma, caramel and sour taste, some biscuity malts.
Corvedale: Golden Dale 4.2%
Golden ale with fruity, floral aromas and a zesty character.
Fyne Ales: Hurricane Jack 4.4%
This golden ale has a smooth start that leads to deep, dry citrus flavours which mellow to a lingering citrus, bitter finish.
Cairngorm: Red Mountain 4.5%
Old style Porter brewed with Scottish malted golden promise barley. Ruby red colour with subtle roast flavours and a fruity hop finish.
Leeds Brewery: Midnight Bell 4.8%
A premium dark mild. Crystal and chocolate malts combine with wonderful Willamette hops to give a full bodied, complex character to this award winning ale.


– Cider –

Lillies Cider: Bee Sting Perry 7.5%
Sweet but incredibly refreshing with a glorious fresh tasting pear flavour and a wonderful pear aroma.

Gwatkin Cider: Golden Valley 6.0%
Local apples are pressed, and the juice transferred into oak barrels where it is left to mature naturally in the time honoured way.

Thistley Cross: Whiskey Cask
Matured in ex-Glen Moray whisky casks this is a dry & subtle cider. Clear golden and smooth,

Snails Bank: Tumbledown Summerfruits 4.2%
An easy drinking mix of summer fruits and medium cider
